"Lotto" rug,
134x197cm.

Koller Auction, Zurich, 30 May 1987. sold for $16,286 (Lot no: 1809)

Hali Notes: "Despite its high price, this rug caused some controversy. A comparison with the copy of Von Angeli/Bode prayer rug in the Keir Collection, published in Spuhler's catalogue, no:28, is disconcerting. The Von Angeli/Bode rug is lacking its  main borders and the weavers of all subsequent versions made their copies with two guards only, without apparently realising their mistake.
