A rare antique Turkmen Middle Amudarya (MAD) jollar with Aksu motifs, Ersari tribe

Code: TKMADJ01

Age: second half 19th century

Size
: 45x135cm

Size (ft): 1'5"x4'5"

Structure: wool on wool.

Knots: asymmetrical, open to right

Description: MAD bags and trappings with Aksu design is very rare. It is usually seen in Eagle Gul torbas.

Jollar had decorative functions, as either animal or tent trappings.

Good natural dyes. Original finishes.
