Age: first half 19th century, Jiaqing or Daoguang Period

Size
: 60x102cm

Size (ft): 2'0"x3'4"

Structure: Wool pile on cotton warp

Description: A central floral medallion and corner brackets float on a floral diaper (a trellis of repetitive square or diamond shapes found on furniture, textiles, and ceramics as a decorative border) pattern ground. The double border consists of an inner pearl minor border and an outer running "T" motif main border

Provenance: Former Sandra Whitman Collection. Acquired in Beijing.
