Antique Karabagh so called "Lenkoran" rug

Age: circa 1880

Size
: 125x220cm

Size (ft): 4'1"x7'2"

Structure: wool pile, wool warps and dark brown wool wefts.

Knots: Gördes (Turkish, symmetrical)

Description: The natural undyed dark brown field contains two and half large horned medallions on the vertical axis. These medallions derive from the 18th century medallion and sickle leaf carpets. Good condition, full pile, lower end partially restored, several old repairs.
