24 - An antique Akstafa rug, South Caucasus
The abrashed indigo field with small floral octagons, various animals and human figures around two brick-red hooked lozenge medallions with pendants flanked by bold birds and hooked panels, in an ivory border of bold polychrome hooked panels between S-motif and barbr-pole stripes, outer plain stripe, slight wear, old repairs, guard stripe rewoven at one end (very well blend)
