151 - A MOGHAN RUG
South East Caucasus, circa 1900
The ivory field with scattered geometric motifs around two columns of polychrome stepped hooked medallions flanked by vertical linked columns of diamond-shaped lozenges, in an ivory border of angular flowerhead and arrow-head design between dark brown flowerhead and narrow barber-pole stripes, kilim strip at each end, minor localised wear, small reweave in central field.
