An antique Lesghi rug, East Caucasus
The abrashed light blue field with seven polychrome hooked and stepped
medallions surrounded by various floral and hooked small panels, in an ivory
crab-rosette border between panelled and floral stripes, outer barber-pole
and plain stripes, date cartouche, slight wear, scattered old repairs,
slightly corroded black
