Lot Description
An unusual Zejwa carpet
the shaded charcoal-black field with rosettes, hooked panels and animals around five large ivory and rust sunburst medallions, each containing, stylised birds and animals enclosing bold hooked and floral centrepiece, in an ivory crab-rosette border between hooked S-motif, floral meander and reciprocal skittle-pattern stripes, outer barber-pole and vine stripes, dated AH 1332 (1913 AD) --384cm. x 218cm.(12ft.7in. x 7ft.2in.)
