Lot: 253
Genje, Colourful diagonal stripes with double S-motifs cover the field of this antique village rug from the Genje region in the Central Caucasus. The white-ground main border shows polygons decorated with four crescents, the two dark brown secondary borders contain small solid crosses set into a double vine. Original selvedges, somwhat reduced ends. Minor repiled areas, several small holes, otherwise in good condition.
