Karabagh rug, the design is inspired by the Textile Museum XVIII century Khanate Period Karabagh embroidery

Density: 110 000 knots per square meter, totally ~280 000 knots
Weaving period: 3 months
Colors: madder red, azure blue, dark navy blue, light golden yellow, maroon/antique ruby, dark aqua green, natural ivory, natural brown.
Dyes: 100% natural dyes: madder, weld (Reseda Luteola), indigo, pomegranate skins, walnut husks, natural brown sheep wool, natural ivory sheep wool
Materials: Handcarded and handspun wool for pile, wool warps and madder dyed red wefts
Handwoven in Azerbaijan

Design:
Dark navy blue ground with a large, red medallion enclosing a green one with a central, brown hooked cross; and a smaller yellow medallion enclosing a red one with "S" like light blue elements, sickle leaves extend from the main medallion, in a light golden grounded  polychrome star and ivory "X" motif border.
