Lot: 235
Obruk Prayer Rug: A prayer rug from a village in the Obruk region. The light red field shows two trees and four amulet forms. The thin yellow mihrab shape is crested by a double hook, and the field section above is coloured sea green. The wide ochre border contains stepped polygons, the outer border has colourful intertwining `S´ forms. – Upper finish somewhat reduced, remains of the kilim finish survive at the bottom, original flat-woven selvedges. Restored areas, low spots in the pile.
