Seljuk or Beylik Period rug fragment, 1300s, Turkey. Keir Collection. Dimension: 185x207 cm.

Found in the Eshrefoglu Mosque in Beyshehir in 1929, by R.M Riefstahl.

This one and
the fragment from the David collection are the parts of the same rug. When and where they were split up is not clear. This smaller fragment was sold at auction in 1971 at the sale of the Pozzi Collection in Paris (Jean Pozzi had been French Ambassador to Turkey in the 20`s) The larger piece was in a European collection before going to the David.
