AH 1310 (1893 AD) dated antique Shirvan Marasali prayer rug, Azerbaijan, published Siawosch Azadi's Azerbaijani Caucasian Rugs, plate 100, 118x150cm

The midnight blue central field shows a prayer niche (mihrab) and a prayer gable (tagh). Both parts are embellished with geometric botehs arranged in staggered rows. It is interesting that the bird heads in the botehs of the main border have a tail.
