EAST CAUCASUS, CIRCA 1880
The ivory field scattered with serrated multicoloured geometric motifs, individual flowerheads and small animals beneath an ivory mihrab arch with similar motifs, in a indigo angular flowerhead border between an inner burnt-orange animal motif stripe and minor zigzag and mill-pattern minor stripes, light even wear, corroded black, ends restored, 6ft.5in. x 2ft.10in. (196cm. x 87cm.)
