The indigo field with an overall design of interlaced bold red arabesques linked by palmettes, overlaying and enclosing a variety of floral sprays, in a shaded rust-red border of linked angular meandering vine between running-dog stripes, original kilim strips at each end, scattered old repairs particularly in the lower half
