Harshang Pattern floral carpet (red ground), late 18th century, Khanates Period, Azerbaijan. Türk ve İslam Eserleri Museum, Istanbul. inv. no 715 (58) from Ciftlik Mosque, Erzurum. 275 x 590 cm. published Serare Yetkin's "Early Caucasian carpets in Turkey", plate 85. The main axis has a central star and yellow and blue palmettes which contain smaller palmettes in reversed direction wit blue, purple and red, or white and dark blue petals respectively. The palmettes change direction with each row and are joined by yellow and green stems into a diamond shape around a yellow star with a dark blue rosette and radial small palmettes with yellow, blue and red petals.
