Shirvan The “forked leaf” design was widely used in the Kuba region, usually
in long and narrow carpets. However, the knotting structure suggests that
this pretty example was made in the Shirvan area. Rug formats displaying the
“forked leaf” design are comparatively rare. – Original selvedges, restored
finishes at both ends, slight signs of wear in the pile and minor restored
areas.
