Lot: 188
The field of this rare Kazak has been divided into seven box-shaped segments
separated by a surrounding border frame. Alternately green or red, the
rectangles each contain a hooked diamond enclosing a large central cross as
well as animals and stars. The diamonds of the main border, decorated with
diagonal arms, are reminiscent of crabs or spiders. – Original selvedges,
both ends minimally reduced and repiled in places, in good overall
condition.
