Ivory ground Daghestan Prayer Rugs from the Northeast Caucasus are seldom seen in today's market and are most desirable among established collectors. This is an extraordinarily artistic example, featuring a field of potent wildflowers with a wonderfully asymmetrical latticework beneath a compelling, gold-toned prayer arch. Note the great joyfulness and precision in the drawing of the motifs throughout the rug.
