Bakhshaish Long Rug - Old long rugs from the Bakhshaish region were knotted for home use and more rarely exported than the large-format workshop carpets of the provenance, which consequently are better known. Here, the light red field is patterned with geometric, stylised botehs alternating with flowering shrubs. The blossoms surrounding each of the botehs are a stylistic feature of the group. Good condition, original selvedges, the kilim finish has been preserved at the bottom, upper end minimally reduced.
