Cairene Ottoman prayer rug, 16th century. Iparművészeti Múzeum, Budapest (Applied Art Museum) John Taylor's notes on this carpet: "It is not possible to say whether it originally possessed a lamp and divided panel above the mihrab,but this seems likely.On an all-silk foundation with white and light blue cotton,this may well have equalled the Kuwait example-but with green ground border."
