Hand woven in Azerbaijan
Design: The dusty red field with a
variety of small geometric and floral motifs, stylised animals and
palmettes around a bold design of interlaced serrated ivory and green
panels linking indigo similar panels, each containing similar minor motifs
and enclosing large golden hooked stylised palmettes, in a green border of
polychrome octagons containing addorsed C-motifs (Turkic tribal elements) divided by
ivory/indigo floral minor guards and outer "running dog
or water" stripe. |
