Note: The knot density
of Talish rugs varies between 100 000 to 200 000, sometimes even 220 000 knots per square meter. (65 to
130-140 knots per square inch) Warps are always wool and wefts are either 2 shots of two
or three ply ivory or brown wool; cotton is also used as weft to get finer work. All the yarns are Z spun.
