Colors: midnight blue, medium blue, cinnamon, apricot, purple, medium light blue, red, yellow, green, maroon, dark green, light green, hazelnut, aubergine, dark brown, dark goldenrod, medium brown, ivory.

Dyes: madder, weld (Reseda Luteola), onion skins, indigo, pomegranate skins, walnut husks, natural dark brown sheep wool, natural ivory sheep wool.

Materials: Handcarded and handspun wool for pile, ivory wool warps and ivory wool wefts (two shots). 1cm of flatwoven kilim ends at both sides. - wool on wool

Knots: Gördes (Turkish, symmetrical)

Pile height: 0.4cm

Ends: five rows of decorative knotted meshwork

Inscriptions: tamga (tribal seal) of Afshar tribe

Weavers: Kamila, Könül, Shahla, Arzu

Weaving Period: 5 months

Handwoven in Baku, Azerbaijan

Design: A fine Baku Khila kelleh - the midnight blue field with diagonal rows of large polychrome double floral boteh motif (situated within each other - "pregnant boteh") divided by small floral elements around three stepped medallions, each with various stylised floral motifs, in an ivory main border of polychrome boteh motif between diagonal striped "Pakhlava" (Traditional Azeri layered pastry with walnut filling), flower meander and flower head motif minor borders and outer barber-pole stripes.
