Antique Qashqai kilim Code: QSKM01 Age: ~1890s Size: 155x320cm Size (ft): 5'1"x10'6" Structure: wool on wool. Description: This red ground piece belongs to an attractive group of Qashqa’i kilims with the three rows of rectangular compartments with serrated outlines. Each compartment contains a beautiful synthesis of the ashyk and confronted animal head motifs and is surrounded by white bands. These bands contain polychrome half-cross shaped ornaments which form diagonal stripes. The kilim is in an excellent condition. Natural dyes.
