Description: The distinguishing features of this
early 20th century Kazak Azerbaijani rug are stylized cruciform abstract
trees with diagonal serrated leaves enclosed in rectangular panels. The
tree motif is a variant of one found in the central medallion of a group
of Karabagh (Herrmann, ATT 2, no.31) and later Kazak rugs. Very good
condition, full pile, left upper and right lower corner restored,
scattered very small repairs
