A Lotto rug, ANATOLIA, 16th ct., small damages.

Description
(German only) Ein bemerkenswertes, frühes und bislang unbekanntes Sammlerstück. Das Feldmuster wird im sogen. Kelim-Stil gezeigt. Das Besondere jedoch ist der Bordürenrahmen, der ungewöhnlicherweise aus Borten von annähernd gleicher Breite besteht. Nur zwei Vergleichsstücke in der Literatur zeigen das gleiche Ornament auf der Innenborte auf braunem Grund, z.B. jener berühmte Teppich aus dem Museum für islamische Kunst in Berlin, bei welchem das Gittermuster in dreierlei Farben angelegt ist. 165 x 110 cm (91978001)
