A 'LOTTO' RUG
PROBABLY USHAK, WEST ANATOLIA, LATE 16TH CENTURY
Even overall wear, corroded black/brown, occasional minor spot repairs and a few small reweaves, sides and ends with partial loss but secured
6ft. x 3ft.10in. (184cm. x 116cm.)

Lot Essay
The design of the field of the present rug belongs to the same 'Anatolian' group as the previous two lots in the sale and shares the same border as lot 258, although the colour within the border is quite different to that.
