Lot: 219 Bergama Canakkale The light red field of this village rug
from Canakkale, a coastal town on the Dardanelles, is dominated by two
huge, white-ground octagons. Each encloses a blue balky star, its eight
arms decorated with red hooked diamonds, as well as a central octagon with
a lattice design. Octagons filled with stars also adorn the white-ground
main border. – Slight signs of wear in the pile, otherwise in good
condition, with the original selvedges and red kilim ends. Origin:
