At the front right, Pope Clement is kneeling. He has laid down his papal tiara in front of him and appears to be urging the observer to take part in a humble worship of the Madonna. St Dominic, the founder of the order of the Dominicans, is kneeling next to him, and on the right the Church Father St Thomas Aquinas is holding out a valuable book.
