Above photos were taken from two different sides of the rug. (Top and bottom) The colors of each rug vary according to the direction of the pile. This is due to the quality and fat amount of wool. Handspun wool is another cause of the color to look different according to the direction of the pile. This feature is not so distinguishable in low quality rugs made of machine spun yarns.
