"Lotto" rug, 2nd half 17 century, Western Turkey, Ushak Region, Ottoman Empire. 115x148cm, 830 knots/dm2. "Ornamented" style. One of the very few rugs from Schmutzler's collection still preserved in Romania, it was later sold to George Oprescu who donated it to the Romanian Academy. Museum of Art Collections, Bucharest, inv.260/16
